Dr. Dina Schofield, Owner/Medical Director
My name is Dina. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University Veterinary School. After completing a rotating internship, I did a 3 year residency program in Small Animal Surgery at the Veterinary Referral Center and am a board certified surgeon. My husband and I live in Chester County PA with our 7 year old daughter, Essa.

Dr. Nikki Scherrer, DVM
Dr. Nikki Scherrer, DVM, currently serves as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Dr. Scherrer received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and graduated summa cum laude at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. She attended Purdue University, in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she earned a doctorate degree from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she started an internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital, an equine only practice. Following this she started a second rotating internship at University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. This experience opened the door into an ophthalmology residency at New Bolton Center. She became a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists in 2019.

Dr. Carol J. Schafer, DVM
Dr. Carol J. Schafer, DVM is a veterinarian serving with over 34 years of experience,. Dr. Schaefer earned a degree in Animal Science at Michigan State University and worked at the MSU Horse Barn caring for purebred Arabians and Quarter Horses. She spent a year managing an Arabian breeding farm in Michigan and returned to MSU for veterinary school. She started mixed (large and small) animal practice in the ‘thumb’ region of Michigan in a beautiful, welcoming rural community, where she spent 3 wonderful years. In 1988, to be closer to family, she moved back to PA. Dr. Schafer loves her work and is happy to reconnect with old clients and to foster friendships with new patients.

Donna Wood, Veterinary Technician
Hello my name is Donna. I am one of the nurses . I have over 20 years experience working in small animal practices. I was working with Dr. Stoneback for 3 years and am now a happy member of the new team. I live locally in Oxford with my husband and 3 German shepherds and a pug. I am excited to continue providing excellent care for your companion.
